Finally the time has come that we can finally announce our 2012 LAN jersey design which will be produced by Akuma Sports (Special thanks to them as they have been great!). The shirts will be available to sell to all you gamers in the near future, we will release a price for the jersey soon!
The Internet Blacklist bills, “Stop Online Piracy Act” (SOPA) and the “PROTECT IP Act” (PIPA) are severe bills which will negatively impact everyone in the online community. So in the spirit of raising awareness I'll explain what SOPA and PIPA are and why we as gamers should care.
After extensive talks with manager Matt, our newest addition to the Academy division can finally be announced after the roster was finalised today. This new squad is from the United Kingdom and will represent SkitLite on Modern Warfare 3 for Xbox 360. Like our Swedish academy team, they will be looking to attend the European eSports Event in Stockholm next month and hope to surprise a few people considering the potential they have.
After a lot of thought of discussion SkitLite Gaming have decided to now open an academy division, rather than just supporting the professionally ranked teams. Academy teams aren't quite community teams in as such they have to have proven themselves slightly and shown a bit more potential for success where as community teams are more for lower skilled gamers getting the experience of playing for an organisation.
Today as it comes, SkitLite Gaming are pleased to announce the addition of yet another console team. The team consisting of a French & Belgian roster will be taking the SkitLite name to events across France, England, Holland and Belgium. Having not had the best luck on the Xbox LAN scene we hope to change this by taking another route than a UK team to help us achieve more outside of the UK.
After an impressive 7th place finish at ECL3 Loughborough, SkitLite have decided to pick up Tim 'Arcanewinds' Seabrook for the second time after the organisation decided to move away from the Starcraft scene for a considerable amount of time. Considering Tim's previous placements and his performances in a SkitLite shirt in the past, there is no doubt amongst the management team that he is a promising prospect for future EGL and Insomnia series events.
Today Skitlite have decided it is time for a bit of an upgrade on our website. We have installed a new forum running on xenforo due to the fact the website's built in forum is useless.
Sadly we were not able to transfer the member over to the new forum so you will have to sign up to the new forum.
Well it appears recent Fifa recruit Dean 'DeanC' Coombes has started his time with Skitlite with a bang. A few short hours after being picked up he has proceeded to give us a sneak peek of what he will bring to the organisation by achieving 2nd place in the BeGosu Christmas tournament on Xbox360.
After Skitlite opened its doors to its first ever Fifa player Dutchman Edris “Oba” Youssef we are proud to announce the recruitment of Dean 'DeanC' Coombes who will be flying the flag for the UK. Fifa has always been incredibly popular in the eSports scene and the latest installment Fifa 12 is no exception with thousands of pounds on the line daily. Having placed well in some of the biggest tournaments online Skitlite are very excited to have him on board as we look to become known in the Fifa scene.
We here at SkitLite would just like to take the time to wish every single gamer out there a very merry Chritmas and a great new year! We hope that you get all that you want and you have a great time on the day whether you be spending it with family. friends or maybe even just chilling on your console/PC!
